Ordering and Options

We manufacture microwave heat packs in our own UK factory as promotional merchandise and we call this pack the Small Hand and Face simply as it is great for such uses.

All packs are made to order so we are totally flexible in the way we can brand the pack and also have a rage of fabrics and colours available.

These microwave heat packs are made from premium dye sub fabric which is pure white.  The printing shown in the options is for printing onto "both" sides of the fabric.  The printing is done using one single print and so you can design your artwork to either have an "image or design" on one of both sides using the same template.  Alternatively you could design the artwork so that the "front" of the product has an image and the "back" of the product is plain in a colour of your chosing and pantone matching.  See the Branding Tab and FAQ's for more information.

All our own brand (WheatyBags) products have been safety tested to the BS8433:2004 standard.  This is an optional safety test (at the time of writing this onlie entry) and it is your own decision that has to be made on which of the following you prefer for the heat packs:

  • WheatyBags branded items – if you want the BS8433:2004 safety testing to be known to the recipient that is to use the heat pack, then you must use our own WheatyBags branded labels.  This is shown on a sewn-in fabric heating instructions label, and also an attached card swing tag and identifies our company and web details as manufacturer and required by the standard.

  • If you decide that you do not want the WheatyBags branded labels showing at all, we can supply plain stock, with no branded labels of our own, and a plain cover generic heating swing card to attach to the product.  You cannot claim the product passes the testing at all, and the heating guide is only a generic one and covers all options for all products and you are relying on the recipient to not overheat (or burn in flames) the product which can happen if they overheat.  We do not recommend this option though the choice is entirely yours.

  • We can send the items to be separately tested for BS8433:2004 if you prefer, and have separate labels made for the sew in heating instructions and the attached card instructions.  The manufacturer could then be identified as yourselves or your client and the safety testing could be marked up on the product.  For independent testing, we charge £750 per product per time tested until passed, and £250 for MOQ 1000 card attachment labels and £115 for specially made MOQ 1000 sew in heating fabric labels.  This is all optional for you but allows you to make an informed choice.

  • If packed with no individual polybagging then the following applies:
  • 45 units per A4+ carton 30x24x22cm at 9.5kg.
  • 30 units per A4 carton 31x16x22cm at 6.3kg.

These heat packs are made from pure white dye sub fabric that has a mock-suede feel to it which is perfect for printing full colour as promotional merchandise. Our options show printing to 2 sides of the product. One piece of fabric is folded in half to be sewn into the rectangle shape of the product and this achieves the print effect for 1 or both sides.

If you wanted a "plain white" or solid colour to the back of the product, simply design your artwork to have the printed logo to the left half, and the solid colour to the right half of the template. Printing is edge to edge on the fabric before it is sewn and therefore achieves and edge-to-edge printing for best effect with your artwork designs.

We always manufacture a pre production physical sample and photograph this as your proof for approval. We can also post this sample to you to review if you have time though please make sure you select this option when ordering to cover the cost of posting the item to you. We feel a woven label also finishes the pack off nicely if you want a premium look to your own design heat pack.

PLEASE NOTE : if you purchase "plain stock" the item will be made in white dye sub fabric but you will not be able to heat press an image to the completed product as you will burn, and likely set on fire, the wheat inside in your heat press. Plain stock is usually purchased by clients wanting a pure white mock suede effect fabric as a premium feel microwave heat pack.

Branding Option - Woven Label - Multiple Colours

Can the image I supply be printed edge to edge ?

Yes. The template size is 35cm wide and 12.5cm tall.  Please design to allow a 1cm bleed where we will sew the stitch lines and supply artwork in high res 300dpi.  If designing for colour matching, please design in RGB format as pantone colours will change in the heat process.

Can the image have a white background ?

Yes. The fabric we use is white and will therefore act as a white background to any design.

Can I order a printed or plain sample ?

Yes. Please order online for 1 or more units.  If you want the item printing as a pre-production sample, this is all possible online and set up charges will be added to your order at checkout.  Plain stock samples can also be ordered online.

If I order "Plain Stock" can I heat press after using my own heat press ?

No. If we supply plain stock, the product is filled with wheat and sewn closed. This means you cannot heat press the product in a press to apply the dye sub print.  The printing must be done by use before we sew and fill the product.

Directors Review of the Dye Sub Microwave Heat Pack

The printing on the premium dye sub fabric is wonderful, especially when using full colour tints and tones or photography for promotional merchandise promotion.

We manufacture using our premium fabric and the printing is done on one or both sides of the heat pack, and a woven label as an optional extra I feel really makes for a premium warmer for winter use as promotional merchandise.

Samples can be ordered online and we manufacture fully printed from just 1 unit upwards.

All heat packs are safety tested and labelled according to the standard though do have a read of the labelling in the details tab for the UK standard and your understanding.
