Ordering and Options

We manufacture microwave heat packs in our own UK factory as promotional merchandise and we call this pack the Small Hand and Face simply as it is great for such uses.

All packs are made to order so we are totally flexible in the way we can brand the pack and also have a rage of fabrics and colours available.

FABRIC AND COLOURS

We stock a range of fabrics and colours and we can usually accomodate different colours on request for larger orders over 500 units.  Please do ask if you have a special colour requirement as most colours can usually be obtained from our fabric merchants and sometimes we have stock in-house for smaller batches.

Fleece fabric tends to be most tactile though polycotton drill fabric, as a quality option is sometimes better for branding depending on your needs.

Some branding requirements lend themselves better to use a dye cub photo process for the printing and you will see some of these product options within our web site.

SAFETY TESTING

All our own brand (WheatyBags) products have been safety tested to the BS8433:2004 standard.  This is an optional safety test (at the time of writing this onlie entry) and it is your own decision that has to be made on which of the following you prefer for the heat packs:

OPTION 1

  • WheatyBags branded items – if you want the BS8433:2004 safety testing to be known to the recipient that is to use the heat pack, then you must use our own WheatyBags branded labels.  This is shown on a sewn-in fabric heating instructions label, and also an attached card swing tag and identifies our company and web details as manufacturer and required by the standard.

OPTION 2

  • If you decide that you do not want the WheatyBags branded labels showing at all, we can supply plain stock, with no branded labels of our own, and a plain cover generic heating swing card to attach to the product.  You cannot claim the product passes the testing at all, and the heating guide is only a generic one and covers all options for all products and you are relying on the recipient to not overheat (or burn in flames) the product which can happen if they overheat.  We do not recommend this option though the choice is entirely yours.

OPTION 3

  • We can send the items to be separately tested for BS8433:2004 if you prefer, and have separate labels made for the sew in heating instructions and the attached card instructions.  The manufacturer could then be identified as yourselves or your client and the safety testing could be marked up on the product.  For independent testing, we charge £750 per product per time tested until passed, and £250 for MOQ 1000 card attachment labels and £115 for specially made MOQ 1000 sew in heating fabric labels.  This is all optional for you but allows you to make an informed choice.

There are a number of ways to brand this product which are shown below as a guide.

The image and descriptions are generic but should help you understand how it may look on your product.

If you have any special requirements, please email us your brief.

Directors review of the Small Hand and Face Microwave Heat Pack

We make these heat packs to order and they are a great low cost promotional merchandise item with many uses. Clients have used them for giveaways where hand warming is important in particular... clients including housing associations or outdoors companies.

We make them to order so we can flexible on the size and also the way they are made, rectangles being the most popular choice though made into pyramids for something a little more unusual.

MOQ's are small as we make them in-house though lead time can be a little longer for orders of many thousands especially in winter when the weather turns colder so do give us as much time as possible.

Branding is easiest and cheapest for reasonable quantities with a woven label though other forms of printing are also shown on the site.
