A brand printed tea towel is one of the most practical promotional items available: it goes into a kitchen, gets used daily, and keeps the logo or design visible in a domestic or office setting for months. Unlike a pen or a badge, it has a functional life that means it genuinely stays in use rather than goinginto a drawer.

BMPM® prints every tea towel to order in the UK, from a single unit upwards. Whether you need onetowel as a sample, a short run of 25 for a client event, or 2000 for a corporate gift programme, theprocess is the same: supply your artwork, approve the digital proof, and receive the finished towels.

Most Popular Uses

Corporate gifts and client hospitality

A branded tea towel goes home with a delegate, into a Christmas hamper, or onto a kitchen counter.Because it's used daily, the brand impression repeats every morning in a way a lanyard or a pen won't.Low minimum quantities mean you can produce a short run for a specific event or client withoutholding stock — order exactly what you need.

Restaurants, cafés and food brands

Food businesses use branded tea towels both practically and as shelf merchandise. A café selling asmall range of branded items at the counter will find a printed tea towel at £8–12 retail sellsconsistently. Full-colour printing means you can use an actual photograph of a dish or a hand-drawnfood illustration — not just a logo on a white ground. For food brands, the tea towel carries the visualidentity into a customer's home.

Schools, sports clubs and community groups

Leavers' tea towels are one of the most consistent use cases — a class photo, a list of names, or a yeargroup illustration printed on a tea towel at the end of a school year. MOQ from one makes it practicalfor small groups who don't need a warehouse run. Production runs of 30–100 are typical, and per-unitcost reduces significantly at volume.

Tourist attractions and heritage sites

Map tea towels and illustrated landmark prints are a standard part of the tourist gift shop product mix.Dye sublimation handles fine map detail and watercolour-style illustration cleanly. The optional retailcard wrapper makes the finished towel shelf-ready without additional packaging.

Wedding and event keepsakes

A printed tea towel works as a wedding favour or event keepsake — the venue, a date, an illustration.Because production starts from a single unit, ordering a sample before committing to a full run isstraightforward and low-risk.

Artwork tip for the best result:

Supply your file in RGB colour space (not CMYK) with a minimum +20mm bleed on all edges. Vector files — PDF or EPS with fonts embedded — produce the cleanest result for logos and typography. High-resolution photography (300dpi or above at print size) works wellfor photographic prints. If you are unsure whether your file is suitable, send it across before orderingand we will check it before committing to production.

UK Manufactured — Why It Matters

All tea towels are printed and finished in the UK by Clear Prospects Ltd in Blackburn, Lancashire. Forbuyers where UK provenance is a specification requirement — ethical procurement policies, marketingcopy, or client-facing claims — we can confirm UK manufacturing in writing.

UK production also means straightforward turnaround: typically 1–2 working days from approvedartwork for standard orders. There is no overseas transit or customs risk. For trade buyers who need toconfirm delivery before an event or a buyer's deadline, the short, domestic supply chain makes that areliable commitment rather than an estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print a photograph on a tea towel?

Yes. Full-colour dye sublimation handles photographic prints cleanly — product photography, event images, portraits, landscape photography. Supply a high-resolution image (minimum 300dpi at print size) and we will confirm it is suitable before production starts.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One unit. There is no requirement to order in bulk. Per-unit price reduces at 10, 25, 50 and 100+ quantities — we can provide a quote for any quantity.

Will the print wash out or fade?

No. Dye sublimation infuses the ink into the fabric fibres rather than coating the surface, so it does not peel, crack or fade the way screen printing or heat transfer can. Do not bleach or tumble dry —machine wash on a cool cycle is fine.

How quickly can you produce them?

Typically 1–2 working days from artwork approval for standard orders. If you have a specific deadline, contact us before placing the order and we will confirm whether it is achievable.

Can I get a sample before ordering a full run?

Yes. Printed samples are available; just order 1 online. For larger runs of 50 units or more, a sample before full production is strongly recommended.

Are they actually made in the UK?

Yes. Printed and finished in Blackburn, Lancashire by Clear Prospects Ltd. If you need written confirmation of UK origin for procurement or specification purposes, we can provide that on request.

What file format should I send my artwork in?

RGB colour space, not CMYK. Vector files — PDF or EPS with fonts embedded — are preferred forlogos and text. High-resolution photography at 300dpi or above is suitable for photographic designs.Allow +20mm bleed on all edges for edge-to-edge prints. If you are unsure, send the file and we will check it before committing to production.
