Lancashire Textile Finishers still exist

I was chuffed to bits today to drive to an age old Lancashire Textile Finishers and Dyers this afternoon. The textile industry is shrinking around me and although I can still find fabric merchants around the country to buy at decent enough trade prices, what was thrilling (to me anyway) was to visit an old business that still takes loom state fabric such as cottons and colours them, washes and rolls back after drying... sounds simple but the last one I knew went into liquidation in 2001 on me and I have never found one since.

Lancashire still has its textile industry and I always wonder if at the age of 42, I am one of the younger ones still manufacturing promotional merchandise from fabrics here in the UK.
