Helping to get it right with exhibition tablecloths

To manufacture 1 exhibition tablecloth is absolutely no problem, nor is branding the same tablecloth with a single or full colour logo. What puzzles my clients though is why I ask so many questions when setting the job up.

We make tablecloths to your precise dimensions, in cm's preferably so this involves x'cm and y'cm to create the size. We can't take the responsibility to make them fit a table dimension as every client has a different requirement. Some clients want the tablecloth to reach the ground at the front and just go a few cm's over the back, some want them to the floor left and right, but some dont want this. We dont mind but as everyones opinion differs, this is why we ask for a tablecloth size and not a table size.

Branding can be literally any size when it comes to single colours but can only be A3 size if you want a full colour image or a logo with tints and tones. It is always best to send us the image you want printing in an original EPS format so that we can adjust the image to suit your requirements and then, having seen the colours ourselves, we can guide you properly on what type of branding would look best compared to your cost budgets.

There are many ways to brand a tablecloth but we always stick to vinyl film for larger or single colour logos (as there is no background film colour, you can see the tablecloth fabric through the image gaps) where the films can be cut to 48cm tall and any width or heat transfer for anything more than 1 colour. Heat transfer can be a maximum of A3 but if you want us to plotter cut round the logo, it will be smaller.

Always best to send us your brief by email so we can bring all our questions and advice into 1 consise quotation for you.

Every tablecloth we supply is made to order in our own British factory and can take from just a couple of days to a few weeks depending on the quantity and how busy we are at the time. It has been known for us to turn round exhibition tablecloths the same day from scratch for emergencies.

Fabric type affects costs of the tablecloth. We do a very low cost non woven tablecloth that wotn fray so we can cut and send involving no seams and sewing at all. We have 4oz lighter weight fabrics in simple colours though most clients will go for a premium cotton or polycotton drill fabric as it is heavier weight and looks far better at an exhibition.

The size also affects the cost considerably and sometimes you could be asking us to make a smaller tablecloth when in fact we can make it for the same price at almost twice the size. A roll of fabric is usually 150cm wide so take off a few cm's for the hem for the final size. We can make a 300cm x 300cm tablecloth with a centre seam but this would cost the same as a tablecloth requested at say 300cm x 175cm. It's the additional 25cm on the 175cm that requires us to use a full 150cm width right down the 300cm of the tablecloth. Make sense ? Dont worry if not but sometimes we will say a smaller tablecloth is the same as a larger one in price and this just helps me to explain it for you though will chat it through when we get your brief.

Hope this overview helps.
